Be a part of a living, natural, and enduring memorial.
Blazing Star Sanctuary is part of our network of preserves providing volunteer opportunities. If you are interested in volunteering, please check our event calendar for upcoming dates. Or, fill out our volunteer signup form to join the Coastal Prairie Conservancy volunteer mailing list, and we will let you know about upcoming opportunities to join our conservation community.
We also welcome volunteers to visit Blazing Star independently and help us to monitor the biodiversity of this restored prairie. Data collected by individuals using eBird and iNaturalist apps is incredibly valuable! We also encourage volunteers to take a photo at our Chronolog station to help us track restoration progress.
Nature’s Burial is wholly-owned by the Coastal Prairie Conservancy (CPC), a nonprofit land trust dedicated to conserving and restoring coastal prairies, wetlands, farms, and ranches across the region.
Help support land conservation in the region by making a tax-deductible contribution to the Coastal Prairie Conservancy using our online donation form.
By including CPC in your estate plans, you can further support conservation of special places like the Blazing Star Prairie, home to Nature’s Burial.
Our team is happy to connect with area Funeral Directors who are interested in green burial. Contact us to schedule a private tour for your staff. We are also happy to meet at your funeral home and can provide trainings for area funeral directors as well.
