Elisa Donovan, President, oversees Nature’s Burial legal matters, administration, programs, and strategic planning. Additionally, she is the Vice President & General Counsel of the Coastal Prairie Conservancy.

She brings a depth of legal expertise to Nature’s Burial with over 20 years of experience handling business, real estate, and energy matters before joining the organization and redirecting her career to fulfill her long standing passion for the protection of wildlife habitat. 

Elisa is a member of the San Jacinto Regional Flood Planning Group and serves on the Board of Directors of the Rice Engineering Alumni Association and Texas Land Trust Council. She received a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Rice University and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.

Elisa enjoys working and relaxing on the family farm with her husband and three boys, and is an avid cyclist and citizen scientist.
