Blazing Star Sanctuary is permanently protected as a natural burial ground and conservation area, providing lasting assurance for the families we will serve and the wildlife who will depend on this preserve.

The Blazing Star Sanctuary is a community cemetery that has been dedicated in Waller County according to Section 711.034 of the Texas Health and Safety Code.

Coastal Prairie Conservancy has received certification of Blazing Star Sanctuary as a Conservation Cemetery by the Green Burial Council, and we are the first cemetery to receive this designation in Texas.

Nature’s Burial, LLC is a member of the Conservation Burial Alliance, a collaborative nonprofit group providing rigorous peer support and continuing education for our cemetery operators.

The Coastal Prairie Conservancy, a land trust accredited by the Land Trust Alliance, will ensure that the conservation values of the Blazing Star Sanctuary are protected in perpetuity.
